CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS FOR THE TREATMENT OF TRAUMA AND STRESS-RELATED DISORDERS
Live Your Excellence
Summary:Does your client seem especially sensitive to sound or temperature? Does your client seem to deeply feel and understand the emotions of others, and feel those emotions as their own? Does your client seem to avoid emotionally-activating stimuli, yet experiences the world with deep emotional resonance? If so, you are likely working with a Highly Sensitive Person. The research indicates at least 15-20% of the population exhibits these and other traits of High Sensitivity, also known as Sensory Processing Sensitivity.
Working HSP’s and the Highly Sensitive nervous system is rewarding, however comes with unique opportunities and challenges imperative for the mindful clinician to know. From childhood, HSP’s navigate the world with increased sensitivity to both physiological and emotional stimuli. This gives them a depth of feeling that provides a rich and vivid internal life, while also opening up vulnerabilities to excess stress, sensory overload, and misattunement in their interpersonal relationships.
Join us in learning to use Havening Techniques, mindfulness, and self-compassion to empower HSP’s to navigate the world with the gifts inherent in their unique nervous systems. Explore the relationship between trauma and heightened sensitivity, sense of self in the world for the HSP, and working along side your HSP clients to nurture and deepen their natural ability to experience the world with great beauty, vividness, and depth.
Note: Completion of the Havening Techniques Certification Training is a requirement to attend this seminar. The seminar is a Level 2 seminar.
